1-year Anniversary

May 23rd Lynn and Greg celebrate their 1-year anniversary as a couple!! Although we're not married, our 1-year as a couple was very important to us. I wanted to make sure she knew how much I care about her and decided I would surprise her with a weekend get away. I made reservations at The Cliff House Inn a Bed and Breakfast in the Lake of the Ozarks. Over a month went by and I had successfully kept it a secret. Lynn had asked everyone that she could for hints, but I had told no one. Her Mom even gave her trouble the entire month as if she knew and wouldn't tell, but no one knew. When I finally did tell Lynn she was more than excited to say the least.

On May 23rd we checked into our room and we're greeted with a friendly smile by Gary Brooks. Gary and Cindy Brooks are the owners of The Cliff House Inn, which Lynn and I agree are absolutely fantastic hosts! We were treated to a phenomenal breakfast every morning. We had a beautifulview of the lake from our room, which included a hot tub for 2!! We had romantic dinner at Michaels on their outside patio overlooking the lake at sunset. Lynn surprised me with my new BlackBerry Pearl for my gift from her and she ended up having to take it away from me so I would give her some attention, haha. We played some games and Lynn read, Lynn even beat me in Jenga on our balcony. We spent a day shopping at the mall, where Lynn got herself a new Coach purse. Although we did get some rain that kept us inside we had no problems relaxing at the Cliff House Inn enjoying each other’s company! Gary and Cindy were even gracious enough to extend our stay until Monday (they really are great people), which was just fantastic as Sunday night we got to watch fireworks over the lake from our room!! Lynn LOVES fireworks so she enjoyed it so very much!! Thank you Gary and Cindy for helping make our anniversary one we will not forget!!!
